Anaya

Hello, my name is Anaya. I am 12 years old. I love to bake, dance, draw, and surf. I’m also a cancer survivor. In 2011, when I was 2 years old, I was diagnosed with stage four cancer. The hospital became my home, and my oncology friends became my family.

During my treatments, things got hard. Trying to be a regular kid was hard. Having to explain why I looked different was hard. But then I made an amazing friend in SuperMax. Max was fighting cancer, too. He was kind and funny and helped me see that I was a normal kid! He showed me how to be brave.

Today, I am thankful for my family and friends that help me see that my story has purpose. I love to help others and give back. September is Childhood Cancer awareness month, so I am giving back to MaxLove Project and my friend Max with the help of my new friends at LitMitts.

LitMitts are oven mitts that you can customize with a picture. I asked them if they would help me give back to MaxLove Project, and they said yes! During September, if you use code TEAMANAYA with your order, you’ll save 20% and MaxLove Project will receive 10% of the proceeds to help provide accessible wellness resources for families fighting childhood cancers and related life-threatening conditions. You can help a child battling against very big odds. — Anaya
