Vickie and Matt became involved with MaxLove Project through Electric City Butcher and the Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) Culinary program, which both supported MLP. Like many families in our community, they have been personally impacted by cancer and serious childhood illnesses. They chose to join this team because Ohana is the Hawaiian word for “Family”.

Mary’s son Zack became friends with Max when they went to school together at Arroyo Elementary, and it was clear from the start the Wilford’s are an extraordinary family. Cancer doesn't discriminate, it can happen to any family, so we must join as an even larger family to show the power of community.

MLP Gold Apron Society Chef, Electric City Butcher

In 2014, Michael aligned Electric City Butcher’s highly regarded locally sourced protein requirements with MaxLove Project’s Bone Broth program using nutrient dense broth. Since then, he has committed himself, his chef abilities, and support to MLP year after year without hesitation. He enjoys giving back directly to families by helping to provide a path to their wellness.
